NanoTech eeFuel Review: Does this Fuel Enhancer Work?

June 16th, 2008 · 29 Comments

Like me, you are probably sick and tired of
eeFuel lowers gas costs
THAT. I’m probably worse off, since my BMW only takes premium, and that is 20-40 cents more expensive per gallon! When I first heard about NanoTech eeFuel, I was a little leery about putting it into my precious high-performance vehicle…and when it claimed that I could use REGULAR octane gasoline in conjunction with eeFuel, I was definitely hesitant.

But I did some research, and it seemed to be a proven and tested product, and I also saw that there were other fuel enhancers that let you use regular instead of premium. eeFuel’s big appeal is that it is an environmentally-friendly fuel enhancer that reduces emissions by 50%, transforms regular gasoline into high-performance, reduces need for engine maintenance, and increases gas mileage by an average of 18%.

Or so the studies claim…but we all know that studies say whatever the organization who hired the consultants tell them to say. Nonetheless, I decided to go with my gut and try out this NanoTech eeFuel.

A week later my eeFuel arrived in the mail. I had purchased two bottles as part of a pre-launch promotion. I was astonished at how tiny the bottles are! I mean, they look like the size of a beer bottle in the picture
NanoTech eeFuel fuel additive
But in reality, you could fit the bottle in your pocket! Not that you’d want to, since it is filled with fuel additive…but anyway, this tiny little bottle actually contains TEN applications. The bottle is 120 mL, and you mix 12 mL per 15 gallons of gasoline. It also comes with a helpful ’scoresheet’ for tracking your gas mileage before and after each usage…that way you can see right away how much you are saving.

Last Tuesday I filled up at the pump, with REGULAR octane gas. The difference between regular and premium was 30 cents per gallon.
15 gallon tank x .30 per gallon=$4.5 in savings per gas-up. Well, that may not be a lot of money by itself. But, consider that there are 10 usages per bottle of eeFuel, and it only costs $27 for a bottle, and you are going to save $45 just in the difference between fuel types.

Assuming that your vehicle normally takes premium, that is. So anyway, the eeFuel bottle kind of measures itself for how much you need to dispense, and you just insert it into your fuel tank just like the gas nozzle. You want to put the eeFuel in first, then gas up, so that it will mix best.

As I was driving along afterwards, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. If I heard bumping or scraping, then I would know that my engine didn’t like the regular octane and that the eeFuel wasn’t really transforming it into high-performance fuel.

But I didn’t…in fact, my BMW was actually driving even MORE smoothly than before!! It’s been a week since, and the car has just continued to drive great. So it seems that NanoTech eeFuel lives up to that part of its claim!

But what about the gas mileage? Well, normally my vehicle gets 28 miles to the gallon. When I’d gone through 2 gallons, according to the gas gauge, I checked the odomoter…and I had travelled 70 miles since I filled up at the tank!

That’s 35 miles per gallon, an increase of 7 mpg, or 25%!! That’s even better than the 18% eeFuel had claimed as the average. So if my fuel efficiency INCREASED by 25%, that is the same as if gas prices had DECREASED by 25%…so paying $4.00 per gallon for gas gets me 25% more, so it’s actually like I’m paying $3.00 per gallon for gas!!

And consider that this gas purchase was a business expense, a product test that is ordinary and reasonable in the course of determining whether or not NanoTech eeFuel is a good product to add to my business. So shave off 30% as a tax-deductive expense, and that tank of gas had a net cost to me of $2.10 per gallon, or $31.5.

Not bad!!

All in all, I am very pleased and impressed with the eeFuel’s performance. It has improved the peformance of my vehicle, let me save 30 cents per gallon by purchasing lower octane gas, AND improved my gas mileage by 25%. Considering that the cost of eeFuel is just $2.70 per tank of gas, I think this is a damn good product!

Check this link if you’d also like to get YOUR hands on some NanoTech eeFuel!

Best regards,

Rob Hunter

And how much is your commission for selling the product through your website?

  • 2 RobHunter // Jul 2, 2008 at 8:11 am

    Hey Brian,
The commission is fairly dismal, you buy the product for ilke $17 wholesale and sell it for $27 retail.
I personally got into this just to be able to get access to the eeFuel product, and at a cheaper price. I don’t see it as being a big money maker.
If you are looking to get into a business with big commissions, than you could do worse than to get in on MyInternetBusiness: http://www.MyInternetBusinessElite.Com

I had a similar experience in my 2007 corvette. I have consulted to the nanotechnology industry before and was impressed with what that type of technology can do to strengthen or increase the effectiveness of powders, liquids, metals, etc. but was skeptical about it being applied as a fuel additive.

Long story short I got a 20% + increase in MPG in my 2007 vette during a 510 mile road trip between phoenix and tucson when it was 110 degrees outside and I had the AC blasting the entire way. My average MPG after the road trip including 4 starts-stops was 30MPG. In a 400 Horsepower vette.

I was so impressed so I got in to buy wholesale and refer other people to the product.

I just got back from a Highway trip to Virgina from PA and got YES YES ! a 5mpg increase from my 4 cyl 2,2 litre 2wd GMC Sonoma Pickup . This stuff Really works. I am a new distributor. I save $15 a tank on gas and 1 bottle last me 7 and one half tanks

  • 5 Jesse // Aug 3, 2008 at 9:16 am

    Hmmm…
    You guys must be kidding….
I wish this product really did work, but
I have tried this stuff on my ‘06 Accord
and my mileage is WORSE!!! I am now on my 5th tank and I can tell it isn’t going to be any better.
Rob, I noticed that you only reported the mpg on 2 gallons. That can hardly be considered a fair test. What was your mpg when you filled up your tank? That would be a more accurate mpg test, don’t you think?
If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is…
    Jesse

  • 6 RobHunter // Aug 3, 2008 at 3:15 pm

    Hey Jesse,
No worries. I’ll check my mileage record tomorrow and let you know what was the TOTAL mpg on that tank of gas.
Sorry that it isn’t working for you. I couldn’t possibly guess at the variables involved in whether eeFuel will improve your gas mileage or not.

I’ll either comment or blog tomorrow with some figures.

Ok, the entire tank of gas (15 gallons) took me 462 miles, so 462/15=30.8 miles per gallon. So you’re right, the first 2 gallons didn’t give a true and accurate pictures. But 30.8 miles to the gallon is still pretty damn good, considering without the eeFuel I have to gas up with high-test fuel, AND I only get 28 mpg! (which is already great mileage!)

  • 8 Roarke // Sep 16, 2008 at 11:37 pm

I’m just now reading about eeFuel and I’m very skeptical. I drive a 96 Saturn SL2 and get around 30 mpg on average. 33-35 on the highway.

Their website also really looks like a scam.

I have a feeling that people like Jesse are the greater portion of the population on this. No offense Rob.

I guess also that the majority of the US, if presented this as an appropriate product in a more feasable store like AutoZone or something, would buy it depending on the cost.

Which, on the other hand, makes me wonder why stores don’t pick this up if its such a great deal! I mean, if its super awesome and can give an average of 20% MPG increase, why not even go as far as to start a fuel station chain under the prospect that they add it to their fuel at the appropriated ratio, pre-mixed. If they could hold their guarantee on their product, they would be able to beat out the fatcats. That, or have them add the eeFuel stuff to their tank. That would start the whole nanotech fuel revolution or w/e you want to call it.

Yea.. thats a rant. Well, enjoy your blog, sorry to clog it with rants.

wow! such a great product why hasn’t the goverment ordered the oil tycoons to add this to the batch so we can all benifit?

  • 10 Josh // Sep 21, 2008 at 3:16 pm

Like most of you I was skeptical about eefuel. I tested eefuel and got result only on the third tank. I tested it in my work vehicule a van Chevy Express 1 ton very loaded (heavy) with tools who make 9.8 miles a gallon. First time I used eeFuel nothing happened but they said to use it three to four times to feel it works . Second time, I gain 2 miles per gallon which is fine but I wasn’t impress yet. The third time I went from 11 miles to 16.2 miles per gallon, it’s a gain of 6.31 miles per gallon and 176.68 miles on a 28 gallon tank so to answer some of your comments It works! no it isn’t a scam and the company is legitimate google it and try it for yourself before posting negative comments. There are a lot of different products out there that you can get only through distributors and it doesn’t make ‘em funny, bogus, bad or scams…. if all the products would be selling at Walmart nobody would have the opportunity to have a “work at home business ” I am a believer, a user and a distributor and this product will be killer everywhere in no time and there is big money to be made with this company go check their website and their pay plan.

Let me clear up whether this is a scam or not:

    It’s a scam.

    Thanks for your time.

  • 12 paul // Sep 28, 2008 at 6:10 pm

    Hi–

I just finished testing 5 tankfuls with eefuel. Let me mention that this was during the summer and my air conditioning usage was consistent and if anything a bit less recently, at the end of Sept. The results were very apparent. I normally get 20-23 mpg, and each tank with eefuel got me between 21.5 and 22.5. This car takes regular so I can’t consider the advantage of switching from premium. So unless I’m doing something wrong, there hasn’t been a difference.

  • 13 Shaun D // Oct 6, 2008 at 11:08 pm

Well lets see. Hmm if we
Change our air filters ever 12k-15k miles and if you have a K & N then clean and recharge.
Change our fuel filters at most every 30,000 miles (pref every 15-20)
do Fuel Induction services and I mean more the the crap you poor in your tanks from autozone I’m talking about forced induction into the the throttle body or through vaccumm line. And cleaning your throttle body out with a brush rag and cleaner.
Then also oil changes every 3k miles not the dumb dealerships saying 7k now.
Keep your tires properly aired (see door panel/gas panel for proper inflation spec)
Ohh and even keeping your car aligned because an out of aligned car creates drag on tires which makes the engine in turn work harded thus lessing mpg.
Keeping windows closed at 65mph+ to decrease the drag on your car.
And it does not matter if your A/C is switched to 1 or to 5 it draws the same amount of power from the engine, because you’re just making your blower motor spin faster not the fan or the pulleys.

Then you’ll get your best increase in MPG

  • 14 HP // Oct 7, 2008 at 12:19 am

    Hum…
It doesn’t work for me that great. I have tried it on my Mercedes C32. 12ml for 15 gallon tank of 91 octane. I usually get 20mpg with 91 gas and now I get 22mpg with eefuel. This is 10% gain. I do not want to go lower in octane to save money. Common if you want to save money by that way then you could save it regardless with/without eefuel. So I feel it stupid if I take it into account.

1st I do not feel if my car running smoother or stronger. Not by the feel sorry.

    Now for the math: 10% of 15 gallon = 1.5 gallon. Which equivalent to 1.5 * $3.80 = $5.70
In order to get that gain 10% (22mpg), I have to spend $2.7 on the eefuel.

    So for 15 gallon tank I save ($5.70 - $2.70) = $3 (this will be a week driving)
So 10 time (120 ml eefuel bottle) = $30 (this will be 2 moth driving)

So for $30 saving over two months and hassle time to remember to add the addictive eefuel every time you pump the gas, I feel it not worth it for me. ECK. Not for me!

  • 15 chris // Oct 10, 2008 at 9:09 am

It’s not 510 miles between phoenix and tucson not even on a round trip. So what were you doing there vette man driving back and forth about 4 or five times?

  • 16 Jacob Russell // Oct 12, 2008 at 11:33 am

i build performance engine computers for custom applications. i know i can gain 5 mpg on many cars with other modifications

Before you go dumping a additive in your tank,

Learn how far you can adjust your timing. advanced timing can bring the power band down and give you better milage by keeping the power band in a lower RPM

If its pre odb2 remove that cat and put in a high flow catalytic converter.

Performance camshalfs and cam gears can actualy get you better gas millage when adjusted right.

Ofcourse a k/n filter can help but what people dont tell you is a k/n filter will allow more dirt in to the combustion chamber.

more dirt means more wear and the need to change the oil at 2500 miles yeah this is lame but its a nessesity if you use a cleanable air filter.

I suggest you use royal purple synthetic oil they suggest changing the oil filter and then just topping the oil off with more RP at every oil change for a max of 4 oil changes. Then completly change the oil and filter on the 5 and start over.

Royal Purple will make your car run smoother. and will get you better millage.

I have a 1985 golf running CIS injection.
I have a 60mm exhuast (header back, test pipe ( no cat), a large cam, cam gear, cam retarded 4 degrees, K/n filter, RoyalPurple oil and gear oil, and ofcourse a real dyno tested intake pipe (not some cheep garbage from ebay)

    My intake made by ABD
My Cam, CamGear, Exhuast,Test Pipe, are made by TechTonics Tuning of Oregon.

My golf gets 40 thats RIGHT 40 mpg! yeah shes not a looker shes just my daily driver. But very few cars get better than 40 miles per gallon.

Whenever I come across a product that I know little or nothing about I will do as much research as i can before I spend my money. Message boards are a pretty good place to find out what others have to say about a product, that being said, this as been the worse site i have ever seen.
While i always take the positive reviews with a grain of salt you nay sayers here are amazing, for example: HP says it doesn’t work, but after reading his post it is clear that HP didn’t use the product as directed so therefore HP has no clue if it really works or not.
Others here have made comments about changing this thst or the other on their car yet do not say how much they spent in making these changes.
I have yet to try this product but so far I think I might and I will use it as directed without making any changes to my car then report back with my findings

  • 18 RobHunter // Oct 15, 2008 at 9:34 pm

Well, at least I am letting the naysayers say their nays, so that you can hear both sides of the story and make an informed decision. I do want this to be an informative review, so I’ve been allowing both positive and negative comments/results.

Brian I hope that after you try it for yourself, your results will be added to the ‘positive’ side!

    Cheers,

    Rob

I purchased 2 bottles and have used nearly one already. So far I have seen no increase in milage. I also was promised $100 worth of gas savings coupons when I bought 2 bottles online and never received them in the mail. Another scam folks.

i heard that the owner of eefuel used to work for omstar the patent holders for the primary additives in all competitors products. is this true?? and if so how could you promote a thiefs product thats based on a stolen technology?? no matter the gain, stolen is stolen!! its on record that he worked for the patent holders for d1280x .. so is this product claiming creation?? it technology has bean used in marine testing and has had a business location in california since ?? it looks like the 70’s. wow thats a long time. maybe you should be trying to sell the real thing ..anyways i was researching products and saw that a few companies have been in conflict and researched there years of business and found out 2 companies have used d1280x testimonials and test results and wanted to see the company sites. then i found out both companies founders worked for the omstar?? / d1280x founder and patent holder. thats a lame excuse of a person to steal a persons life work and play like they made or invented it.

  • 22 Eli Jenkins // Feb 1, 2009 at 10:36 pm

Hi all…..i used to try and sell this stuff but it was very inconsistent… I used it in a 2007 Ford taurus and it did great for about half a bottle and then went right back to the original gas mileage. I have used it in a 2004 endeavor and it runs a bit smoother but other than that..nothing…i have had several friends try it and for some it works and is still working….for others it just dont…..and for a few it seems that they do worst….some of this is attributed to people not knowing how to read directions but i find that the consistency isnt worth constant trials….i say to try a bottle and if it doesnt work for you then move on and try to save money somewhere else.

Before using eefuel my 04 Yukon pulled our camper to the Badlands and Yellowstone from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan using regular gas. We averaged 10 mpg.

Using eefuel, the same Yukon pulled the same camper through Canada and down the eastern coast to Jamestown NY and back to the U.P. We averaged 10.85 mpg. Mountains out west were higher than out east and I attribute the small increase in mileage to increased sight seeing without the camper. I was going to try another order of eefuel without the camper when I received the $100 refund for my gas receipts. Guess what? They never came! Refunds a SCAM. Since eefuel uses the gas receipt refund as an incentive to try it, eefuel is probably a scam also. You decide, I have.

  • 24 Paul // Feb 19, 2009 at 8:17 am

    Hi all,

I have tried this and other products on my car and received no results over prolonged testing periods. My wife gets modest reduction in fuel and my kids car these products work very well with big savings.

I started researching why my car was not and found out it was due to the computerised fuel system compensating for the changes in Oxygen levels in the exhaust. (My kids car is an old carby system with no computer)

I found a reduce your fuel bill forum and they had a report in an EFIE that attaches to your oxygen sensor to compensate for the oxygen levels. I am thinking of getting one because my kids car gets around 19% increase in economy.

I did a bit of checking on the eefuel company and there is a great deal of negative stuff there regarding the management. Put “eefuel scam” into google and see what comes up.

I am going to continue buying it until my EFIE gets here and see how it goes on my car.

    Where to buy eefuel

Perhaps you’re on the fence on where or not eefuel works.

    Where to buy cheap eefuel

Try going on ebay and seeing if you can find it at a discount from a seller with %100 positive feedback

  • 26 Jack // Apr 6, 2009 at 12:39 pm

Scam! Does not work in my Nissan Armada
No refunds either ,after a month.
Besides the fuel voucher incentives that never pay!
    BOLOGNA!
    SCAM!
    Do not buy.

they have not sent my product of 4 bottles i ordered and they took the money out of my account which was fine if they would send the product. sorry company

I was a distributor this past year without much luck selling the stuff. Didn’t work that great on my 06 Impala and wasn’t thrilled about trying to get people to buy the stuff. Most people didn’t trust it, and didn’t want to add to their fuel. So I decided not to renew my contract which expires at the end of this month. Well guess what, they charged me the annual fee before my year is up, and they refuse to give me a refund, even thou my year isn’t even up yet. I’ve read thru the contract, and no where does it say you have to cancel 30 days BEFORE your contract expires. It clearly says you will be charged AFTER your renewal date. I guess that’s the way they make their money. So beware, if you don’t want to be charged, cancel at least 30 days prior to your renewal date!

Seen lots of things come and go, tried a few, this sounds like (if anything) an octane booster, so buying cheaper gas and boosting the octane to compensate is a “proven” (to some degree), you can buy such products from any parts store, Canadian tire, Walmart etc etc. The biggest question is, does it do any harm, probably not (apart from making holes in your wallet).
I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi that already gets 28 -30 MPG on the highway, pretty happy with that, but if I have to slow down for the guy on the right, wiat for the loser in the left lane to go around then change lanes to over take before the other guy behind them pulls out too, then it goes down to 21 mpg real quick, as far as “Proof” that it works when towing, I can travel the same road with my 26ft T/Trailer sometimes I get 13.5 mpg, and then I can get 9.5 mpg, same fuel same, speed, sunday arvo’s, same time, same temps, it’s all about the wind, so all bets are off unless ALL testing is done on a Dyno everything else is relative to driving styles, traffic, wind, air temp, altittude, humidity, etc, etc, etc…..
I say the product probably does the same as a dozen others you can buy down the street for 1/3 the price. To those that have turbo chargers and superchargers, use premium all the time unless you want nice little pit holes in the top of your pistons, close the gap on your sparkplugs by 5 to 10 thou’ and you’ll get your power back and fuel economy (most forced induction specs will already be around 35 thou, so stay with that.)
