Custom Character Creation Page First thing's first, I recommend starting a free account at www.myth-weavers.com and using the character sheet there. You can share your login information with me so that I can access it as well, or make the character sheet public. Step 1: Assign Your Stats All characters begin with the following base stats: Strength: 10 Dexterity: 10 Constitution: 10 Wisdom: 10 Intelligence: 10 Charisma: 10 You have 32, count them, 32, points to allocate among these six ability scores. *It costs 1 point to increase an ability score by 1 point, up to a maximum of 15. *It costs 2 points to increase an ability score to 16, 2 points to increase to 17, and 2 points to increase to 18. *It costs 4 points to increase an ability score beyond 18. Note that any racial or birthplace adjustments will be applied AFTER you are done allocating your 32 points.

Step 2: Choose the Realm in which you were born The demiplane known as Ravenloft is composed of various cultures and levels of civilization ripped from other worlds. Accordingly, the realm in which you were born can have significant effects on your allowable races, classes, ability scores and powers.
The realm in which you were born may have a significant effect upon the course of the story, and may entitle you to know certain things that others do not. When selecting your birthplace, you should also be thinking about what race and class you would like to play. If you would like more detailed information about any of the domains, email me!
Step 3: Choose Your Race Non-humans are rare in most of Ravenloft's domains, as the terrorized and xenophobic people of these lands tend to mistrust and persecute anyone who is different. Still, elves, half-elves and dwarves are occasionally seen, and in the depths of the earth, there are rumors of dark elves and gray dwarves... Finally, there are the mysterious Vistana, a race of wandering gypsies who are said to have a supernatural tie with the Land itself.

When choosing your race, you should already have a good idea of what character class you would like to play; for example, if you have your heart set on playing a dark and mysterious Arcanist, then you probably shouldn't pick the Dwarf race! Again, if you have questions about any of the races, email me.
Step 4: Choose Your Class Your class determines what types of skills, combat abilities, or mystic arts your character is versed in. For detailed information about the individual classes, go to http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/classes.htm

Classes NOT include in the above are the Elementalist, Gypsy, Bounty Hunter, Assassin, Anchorite, Psionicist, Arcanist and Kensai. I have completed class descriptions for the Bounty Hunter, Beguiler, Gypsy and Kensai. Let me know if one of the other classes listed above interests you, and I will get you the relevant information. Below is a list of all playable classes, and a chart comparing them. If there is any discrepancy between this chart and the d20 website linked to above, this site will always be the correct source.

Note that if you want to play a Paladin, Cleric, Arcanist or Kensai, come see me first so that we can develop a suitable back story. Paladins and clerics are practically non-existent in the dark world of Ravenloft, since the Land itself and the Dark Lords that rule it are anathema to the divine. Arcanists are an all-but-extinct order of sorcerers who study the Mists themselves. Their knowledge of necromancy, divination and dark lore are unrivalled even among the Vistani. And the Kensai, or 'Sword-Saint'? In Ravenloft, training in the martial and spiritual art of the Kensai can only be found in the Anhalla monastary in Har'Akir...if you are considering playing this class, you may wish to consider the role, or even the character, of the Fugitive Princess. Not if you are a dude, of course...unless, in fact, you ARE a princess. Har har!
Level EXP Required Gain 1 0 2 1000 3 3000 1 Feat 4 6000 +1 to an ability score 5 10000 6 15000 1 feat OR +1 to an ability score 7 21000 8 28000 +1 to an ability score 9 36000 1 feat 10 45000 11 55000 12 66000 1 feat AND +1 to an ability score 13 78000 14 91000 15 105000 1 feat 16 120000 +1 to an ability score Some races/classes may advance slower than this. It is also worth noting that in the Demiplane of Dread, there are very few mortals higher than level 8-9...the Dark Lords will suffer no rivals, and strong adventurers tend to attract their attention and meet unfortunate ends. But times are changing, and the end of days draws nigh. This is the chance for heroes to arise, and liberate the domains after so many centuries of oppression...or to damn them irrevocably.
